Welcome to the Primary School at Kigali International Community School. It is incredibly important that these early years of education are filled with engaging learning experiences and social skill development, all in a safe and fun environment. We consider our primary students gifts from God and strive to support their growth in every way we can, making KICS a special place.
The Primary School (Pre-K – Grade 5) equips students in learning how to think, how to treat others and work together as a team, and who God is as shown through the Bible. Our program includes a strong foundation in literacy and math, exploration of our world through social studies and science, learning about Jesus through the Bible and chapel times, and experiences in music, art, physical education, French, Kinyarwanda, library and technology. The atmosphere is nurturing and designed to setup all students for success. We have a trained and passionate group of educators who truly love learning and investing in each student’s potential.
“The vision of KICS is to impact the world for Christ by preparing servant leaders who choose character before career, wisdom beyond scholarship, service above self, and a lifestyle of participation over apathy.”
We believe that the success of a solid educational program rests in student ownership of their learning and partnership with parents and students. We encourage you to get involved and join the conversation! Our staff is here to help you find success in the Primary School.
