Welcome to the Middle School at Kigali International Community School and to the wonderful world of the middle grades. These critical years are important for the development of work habits and life-long attitudes towards learning, faith, and relationships. Grades 6-8 are vital, trajectory-setting years toward who these young people will ultimately become as adults.
Our Middle School provides students with many opportunities to develop their academic skills, acquire knowledge and understanding, begin crafting their worldview, and explore special talents and interests. At the Middle School, from our core classes to electives to sports and activities, we are proud of being able to offer students an excellent, diverse, and challenging program that is learning centered and engages students right where they are. Our teachers are dedicated professionals focused on providing every student with a rigorous experience both academically and missionally based on the KICS vision and current instructional practices.
“The vision of KICS is to impact the world for Christ by preparing servant leaders who choose character before career, wisdom beyond scholarship, service above self, and a lifestyle of participation over apathy.”
We believe that the success of a solid educational program rests in student ownership of their learning and partnership with parents and students. We encourage you to get involved and join the conversation! Our staff is here to help you find success in the Middle School.
