We are now accepting applications for the Pre-Kites and Kindergarten classes at the Kigali International Community School for the 2019-2020 school year. Students who are 4 years old by October 1st, 2019 are eligible for the 2019-2020 Pre-Kindergarten class. Students who are 5 years old by October 1, 2019 are eligible for the 2019-2020 Kindergarten class. Please note that KICS strictly adheres to these age cut-offs and does not consider any exceptions.

Complete the online application form for each applicant you are seeking admissions for. Please be prepared to upload the following documents into the online portal:
- If your child has previously been in school, we would love to see their current years assessment or report card.
- Copy of passport information page or birth certificate
- Passport photo
- Copy of vaccination/health record
- IEP and/or any specialized educational assessment(s) (if applicable)
(Please note: Our online application form will be available starting on February 18th when our early admissions period begins.)
- Application Fee
Each applicant is required to pay a $300 application fee. This can be paid by depositing or transferring the funds into the KICS bank account. Contact email@example.com for the bank account information.
- Financial Aid
For families who are requesting consideration for financial aid, please submit the FAST Financial Aid Application.
- Readiness Testing
Readiness testing is required for admissions for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Once the online application is submitted and reviewed, the registrar will notify you of your scheduled readiness testing time which is administered at KICS. The readiness testing will be administered by the primary principal and/or the current Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teachers.
- New Family Meeting
If you are a new family applying to KICS our director would like to share with you more about the vision, mission, values of our unique community. During the 30 minute parent meeting you will also have a chance to ask any questions you have about KICS. It is preferred that your child is not present for this meeting.
- Admissions Committee Decision
Finally, the admissions committee will meet to discuss each applicants file. Once a determination has been made you will receive an emailed determination letter. If approved, you will also receive a financial aid award letter (if applicable), school calendar, school supply list and any other important information related to each applicant
